Sunway Berhad ("Sunway") - Establishment of a medium term note programme of up to RM3.0 billion in nominal value ("MTN Programme") by Sunway Treasury Sdn Bhd ("STSB"), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway

Further to our announcement dated 20 April 2022 in relation to the establishment of the MTN Programme, the Board of Directors of Sunway wishes to announce that STSB has made the first issuance of Medium Term Notes (“MTNs”) of RM200.00 million in nominal value (“Tranche 1 Series 1 MTNs”) on 28 April 2022 pursuant to the MTN Programme.

 

The proceeds of the Tranche 1 Series 1 MTNs are to refinance STSB for the advance which STSB has previously granted to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunway Treasury Sukuk Sdn Bhd (“STSSB”), for the purpose of redeeming STSSB’s then existing sukuk.

 

Public Investment Bank Berhad is the appointed Principal Adviser, Lead Arranger and Lead Manager for the MTN Programme.
