We refer to the announcements made by CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and RHB Investment Bank Berhad on behalf of Sunway City Berhad (“SunCity”) on 24 November 2010, 14 December 2010,18 January 2011, 18 March 2011, 18 May 2011, 20 May 2011, 15 June 2011, 24 June 2011 and 11 July 2011 in relation to, amongst others, the proposed disposal of the entire business and undertaking including all the assets and liabilities of SunCity to Sunway Berhad (formerly known as Alpha Sunrise Sdn Bhd) (“Sunway”) (“Disposal”). CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and RHB Investment Bank Berhad on behalf of SunCity announced on 18 August 2011 that, amongst others, the Disposal was completed on 18 August 2011. On 26 May 2010, SunCity had granted the ROFR to OSK Trustees Berhad (as Trustee for Sunway REIT) to purchase real estate located in Malaysia and Asia-Pacific region owned by SunCity and/or its wholly-owned subsidiaries. We wish to announce that the ROFR has been novated from SunCity to Sunway on 18 August 2011 consequential to the completion of the Disposal. This announcement is dated 18 August 2011. | |
