SUNWAY REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST (SUNREIT) - PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF THE LAND AND BUILDINGS LOCATED IN SECTION 23, BANDAR SHAH ALAM, DAERAH PETALING, SELANGOR (PROPOSED ACQUISITION)

Reference is made to the announcements released on 11 January 2017, 10 April 2017 and 25 May 2017 in relation to the Proposed Acquisition.
The Board of Directors of Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd, the manager for SUNREIT wishes to announce that SUNREIT, represented by its trustee, RHB Trustees Berhad (as trustee for SUNREIT)(“Purchaser”) has on 24 July 2017 entered into a Supplemental Letter Agreement to the Sale and Purchase Agreement dated 11 January 2017 (“SPA”) and the Letter Agreements dated 10 April 2017 and 25 May 2017 with Champion Edge Sdn Bhd (“CESB” or “Vendor”) in relation to the Proposed Acquisition (“Supplemental Letter Agreement”) to amend Clauses 3.1.3 and 3.8.3 of the SPA, to require the Vendor to deliver to the Purchaser, the building plans which are approved by BOMBA (fire authority) for the area that requires upgrading of the firefighting system of the Property (“BOMBA Approved Plans”) instead of the Vendor delivering the BOMBA (fire authority) certificate and the latest renewal thereof to the Purchaser.
The parties agreed that the unconditional date of the SPA shall be on 21 July 2017.
