| Working experience and occupation | Mr Elvin Fernandez is currently the Managing Director of the Khong & Jaafar Group of Companies. He is the current President of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (2009/2010) and the Secretary-General of The ASEAN Valuers Association (2010/2014). He was a former member of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Malaysia from 1993 to 2007. He was the Past President of the Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS) (2000/2002) and has been an Executive Committee Member of PEPS since 2004. He was the Immediate Past Chairman of the International Valuation Standards Committee (2007/2008). By virtue of being the President of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, he is also the Vice-President of FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation) Malaysia (2009/2010). In May 2008, he was appointed as a consultant for the establishment of a Real Estate Investment Trust Framework (Valuation Aspects) by the Securities Commission of Pakistan. On 12 January 2006, he was awarded the “Property Consultant of the Year 2005” by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Malaysia. |
