Bursa Announcement

We refer to our earlier announcement dated 25 February 2016 in relation to the ICP Programme with a limit of up to RM300.0 million in nominal value and the IMTN Programme with a limit of up to RM1,000.0 million in nominal value, under a combined master limit of up to RM1,000.0 million in nominal value, based on the Islamic principle of Murabahah (via a Tawarruq arrangement) (collectively, the "Sukuk Programmes"). 
On behalf of the Board of Directors of AEON CO. (M) BHD. (“AEON”), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad is pleased to announce its first issuance of ICP of RM150.0 million in nominal value under the ICP Programme and IMTN of RM50.0 million in nominal value under the IMTN Programme today.
The proceeds from the ICP and IMTN shall be used for the following Shariah-compliant purposes:
1.    to finance capital expenditure/ working capital purposes; 
2.    to refinance existing borrowings; and
3.    to defray expenses in setting up the Sukuk Programmes.
